This work started out as an investigation in using standard HTML code to express the human body’s structure from birth, through the year 2004, which was my age at the time. Each year was given a “div” tag within HTML’s “body” tag. This was then styled, evolving into 13 successive iterations, some more successful than others. The code evolved between each iteration becoming less personal, more abstract and generative. I am interested in both the visual appearance of the code, and the visual appearnace of the image that code creates.
The work was originally conceived as part of the software gallery, scheme23a.com.
